Skill4 was invited by GJT to assist them with the development of telesales skills. A specific requirement was a flexible approach, to minimise time away from the operation.

Our initial opportunity analysis informed this approach and resulted in a design that comprised short input sessions, supported by ample opportunity for role-play. The real-world application happened immediately after training, while the Skill4 trainer observed the use of the new skills and behaviours over the phone.

Individuals received feedback immediately after training, while recall was still at a high level. The Skill4 Questioning Model assists telesellers during the early phase of the call, when having to explore and develop buyer needs.

This fresh approach to training has certainly resulted in the accelerated application of new skills, and builds confidence when telesellers are faced with 'doing things differently'.
