Who we help - Help for multinationals

International reach

Implementing large-scale training projects for multinational organisations can be a logistical nightmare involving large numbers of people travelling long distances, sometimes to a venue in another country. Time off the job spent travelling together with the transport and accommodation costs are often prohibitive. It also does little to inspire the target population. Skill4 International has developed an extensive International network of highly skilled training facilitators. This means, that we can save you time and money through local event delivery. We can also provide you with a blended learning solution to support skills development both during and post implementation.

Lost in translation

Many global organisations employ a single business language policy (usually English). This means that many of their people rely upon a second language to execute their work. This can be effective for day-to-day operational and reporting tasks. However, the competence of individuals to speak and understand the “business language” varies enormously and this can be a major issue in a learning and development context, when people are required to assimilate, challenge, prioritise, ponder and practice new knowledge and skills. We can provide consistent knowledge transfer and skills check through our international network of training facilitators in up to 31 languages. Ultimately nothing is lost in translation and everything is gained in results.

Cultural sensitivity

The people that make up your business represent many different nationalities, faiths, cultures, value sets and experiences. Global training and change initiatives all too often fail at the “local level” because this is not recognised. The assumption that 'if it is OK for us it is OK for them', is an easy (and logical) mistake to make. However, this can jeopardize the successful deployment of new working practices internationally. At Skill4 International we understand that a little cultural sensitivity can go a long way. We focus on local etiquette, protocol and communication styles to ensure that the key learning and critical messages of your solutions are implemented consistently and effectively where ever the target audience may be.

Local buy-in

Centrally imposed training and change projects are often greeted across international borders, with anything ranging from a degree of scepticism, through to silent sabotage. This can be caused by silo mentality, which manifests itself as “we do it differently here”. People may also be subject to initiative overload or change fatigue. The consequence of these issues is a lack of cohesion during project implementation and ultimately little or no change in behaviour. Skill4 International will work with you to identify local issues and deliver the change that your business requires. We provide central project management to work with you, whilst coordinating local delivery resource to overcome the local issues with your people. The result of this approach is local buy-in and successful implementations.
